Price for the guided tour is 50:- for adults; under 18 years, free. No pre-booking necessary. For larger groups, please contact us in advance.

Tuesday-Friday, read more under the tab ‘for schools’. We can even make visits to schools.

If time permits we can even arrange lectures and guided tours beyond the specified hours. Please inquire.

The digging season

The digging season takes place during September, with the reservation that the archaeologists are not present every day. Exact dates have not yet been established. No excavations take place May through August.

We have some 3-D printed copies of the finds in a small, temporary exhibition. The finds can be seen at The Historical museum in Lund, and a few are om display at the Metropolis Exhibition at Kulturen in Lund.

Easter holiday April 11
The theme for the day is ‘Building Archaeological Generations for Children and Seniors’. Further information about the day’s programme, time, and place for the events will be forthcoming.

Guided tours for those on parental leave April 27 and October 10
Come along on a guided tour of Uppåkra adapted for those prams or baby harness (recommended ages 0-1 year). We will end with a coffee session at very reasonable costs. Microwaves and baby chairs are available.

Wulfheodeanas 14 May
Warriors from the Vendel period visit Uppåkra! Along with the British visitors, wearing armour from period 500-700 AD, there will be a showing of a copy of Uppåkra chalice, developed by David Roper, as well as other events during the day. The detailed programme will be announced shortly.

Archaeology Day August 27
Uppåkra Day is moved forward to the autumn. Further information forthcoming.

Harvest festival September 9
We are moving the Archaeology School to Balder’s Pasture. Books and souvenirs will be for sale.

Culture night in Lund 16 September
We will visit MAX IV. Further information about the programme, time and place will be forthcoming.

Autumn vacation 31 October and 3 November
We will have information available on later about the days’ programme, time and place for the activities.

Uppåkra Day 13/10
There will be a theme day at the Uppåkra School as well as activities at Uppåkra Church as well as on the site. This will include presentations about what the pupils have been working on during the year concerning Uppåkra, Archaeology School and guided Tours of the site and in the Uppåkra Church. In association with Uppåkra Parish and Uppåkraskolan.
