“From the Uppåkra of the past to the ESS of the future – the Science Road”

“From the Uppåkra of the past to the ESS of the future – the Science Road” is the name of a hike stretching from Uppåkra to Lund. With the app “Tidsmaskinen” we take you on a journey from the Iron Age settlement Uppåkra, through the medieval town Lund and Lund cathedral, to what will be the world’s most powerful neutron source – ESS!

The hike “From the past Uppåkra to the future ESS – The Science Road” is inaugareted the 30th of May 2015 when we open the season. After this date you may walk the hike whenever you want.

 

Practical information

-Please download the app “Tidsmaskinen” on App Store or Google Play. Choose “the_science_road”.

-Please be aware of the the Tidsmaskinen app demands a lot of battery. Therefore we recommend you to have a portable charger with you on the hike. During our openinghours you can buy it here in Uppåkra. /// Please be aware of that the Tidsmaskinen app demands a lot of battery. Therefore we recommend you to use it just by the points alongside the hike to save battery.

-The hike is about 11 kilometers and takes around 4 hours.

The hike “From the Uppåkra of the past to the ESS of the future – the Science Road”, is one of 80 hikes that will be offered.

Guided tours in English: Thursdays at 12.30 pm during June, July and August.
