The site of the Iron Age settlement of Uppåkra is located in Staffanstorp municipality in Skåne, close to Lund.

Uppåkra Arkeologiska Center, which offers guided tours and a coffee shop, can be found in “Gamla Prästgården”, a white building located behind the church next to the parking lot. The archaeologists excavating the site are stationed here as well.

Directions:
E22 to the interchange ”Lund södra”. Switch to 108 towards Sturup-Trelleborg. Then follow the white road signs to ”Uppåkra”.

Regional bus:
Regional (yellow) bus 130 Malmö – Lund stops at Ljungs Handel, bus stop Uppåkra Väståkravägen. From there it is approx. 10 min walk towards Uppåkra church. The church tower is visible eastwards from the bus stop (to the left if you arrive from Lund and to the right if you arrive from Malmö). Follow Stora Uppåkravägen just south of the bus stop, walk under the viaduct and then turn right. Follow Stora Uppåkravägen (towards the church).

Guided tours/Guidade visningar 2016

Guided tours in English: Thursdays at 12.30 pm during June, July and August.

Admission: 40 SEK. Children 0-18 free of charge. A guided tour takes about one hour. No pre-booking necessary. To book a guided tour in English or German (1500 SEK) call +46709351250 or e-mail ulrika.randver@uppakra.se.
